@@nicholasau5154 cheers mate !! I just use my phone : iPhone XS Max
I have a stack of exacto knife blades for that purpose. Your method looks faster👌
@@brrrt6666 oh dang someone else mentioned the razor blade thing too, gotta t try
I wish i saw this like a week ago lol
@@humber8220 haha sorry a week late
Curved black stem looks like a sex tow. New meaning to dual purpose bike.
when you started hammering on that crown race, it sounded like the beginning of "martian mambo" drumline cadence
when I hammer I always think of a tune so maybe that was it 😂
Nice rescue Gary! Clean.
Ay thank you mate, stoked !
Hey Gary, I sent my bike for a review like two weeks or so ago and was wondering if you either miss some submissions or that you’re just backed up on loads of submissions, let me know what I should do to get mine in line 🙈
thx mate you are in the queue, just a long queue haha , probably in two-three episodes will be yours
"nobody wants to watch your videos anyway" lol brutal
hahaha just a guess
Thanks for the roast gary! Love it! Something insane happened though: two days ago I found the stolen bike! It was just around the corner from where I work. So I stole it back and now my friend can continue enjoying his roasted bike! Ps: I'm the tall one, my friend is shorter. Pps: I love how you can see from how the photo is taken that someone is a graphic designer, haha! Busted. Take care
wow!!! that's amazing!! glad you were able to get it back. great news thanks for sharing. hahah cheers mate thanks for sending in
damn. you got me. currently watching this from the couch 😔 haha, thanks gary! p.s. ending up using a dura ace bar end friction shifter mated to an 8 speed derailleur. now i have those easy gears ;)
hahahah cheers Ryan! nice, dura ace is awesome, thx for the update
Thanks for the look over of my bike Gary. So hyped! Much appreciated!
cheers Trever! thanks for sending in :)
Get this away from me
lol click away

What a godsend! I have one bike you can't even hear that ratchet noise when coasting. My other one you can hear that annoying ratchet sound. Now I know how to fix it. THANK YOU!
@@deltafour1212 cheers mate good luck !
Why...?
For fun
Ah... ok, I thought it was some sort of cyclists thing...
I mean its on a bike

Hi Gary! can you post the exact bafang throttle you've used? I checked two I had but they both had different coloured wires ( one was gray, black purple and the other was red black and blue)

Evaporust trick for the steerer: soak a paper towel in Evaporust and wrap it around the steerer, then wrap again in clingfilm.
dang! that works? gotta try that one thank you !
2002 is vintage? I have a 1995 and I don't consider it vintage!
Vintage is considered 20 to 100 years old according to google but ya you can call it whatever you want , just had to give it a title so was close enough👍
truly inspiring <3 can't wait for more!
Cheers mate more vids soon!
Chain tensioner is singlespeed cheating
@@juanfo7307 how so ?
@@garysprojects a real true singlespeed is only 2 sprockets and chain. With a tensioner you achieve the worst of both worlds. With the added complexity of the tensioner you might as well be running a derailleour. At the same time the tensioner removes the elegant simplicity esthetic of the singlespeed. Anyone can build a singlespeed with a tensioner. Only the one true singlespeed master can possess the advanced skills perfectly honed to create a properly functioning singlespeed without a tensioner. This is art we are creating and like Michelangelo's David or Sistine Chapel not only transportation but the pinnacle of human expression. I mean a tensioner is taking the easy way out like climbing Everest with the aid of supplemental oxygen or swimming with a flotation enhancement device. A tensioner is singlespeed blasphemy, an aberration.
@@juanfo7307 interesting, how would you do it on this bike with vertical dropouts ?

I've been following Toby on the socials for a number of years, but never visited his shop. Really nice space. Thank you for doing this vid! Subcribed!
no worries! ya if you every have the chance, go visit - very nice environment, well worth it !! Cheers!
Nice fork and quality refurb mate. Psyched!! P.S. when ep. 11 of bike talk coming out. I keep checking to see one particular name in the description list each time you drop each ep.… I wanna see ‘James’!!!😉 Keep up the good work my bro🤙✨
Cheers mate psyched indeed!! hahah I will try to do one today, my computer died this week , getting back on track now
Munto fasiu pego vizão
Some guy dropped off a Trek singletrack for a tune up, pretty good condition, dont think the guys brother ever rode it. Chain was original and not even .5% worn. Hubs, bb, headset were all great. Cables and housings need a replacement for sure 😂
Haha nice , easy to service I guess
Sounds like something else after a full service....
😂😂😂
Way to go! Silky smooth.
Cheers my dude !! They ride well
This is for people over 50 or even 40 or on the heavy side. Any bar that is wide and high not dropdown is good enough. Change the tire to 1.9" wide and wide saddle with springs, make sure chromoly tubing aluminum rims, total weight should be less than 20lbs. You can do a lot of work out and ride some distance with comfort, no pain in the neck, wrist, and bum. You got some cool bikes.
Cheers mate ! Pain free riding is very enjoyable 👍👍👍
Sounds like my x gf.
😂😂😂
Yes I have & the sport that they play on it
Nice
I remember those Z1 when they first came out ..A bit heavy @ the time but the ride quality was second to none..👍
Hell ya they go great !
Yewwwwwwwww Darren’s loose unit! 😅
Darren’s the man , also used your crown install tool (again)!! Cheers mate !
Looks great, Gary! I think you've lost the left leg adjuster cap during your test ride. Did you just google the service manual? I've got a set of old marzocchi forks that could do with a full service...
Cheers mate ! Dude great eye ! I actually did lose it. I crashed into a bush off camera with lots of twigs so I think that done it. Luckily for me I had one spare in my bits box !!! All replaced now so hopefully I don’t lose anymore in the future haha. Ya I just googled the service manual , wasn’t too hard to find. Ya you should do it up, the instructions marzocchis give are pretty clear 👍
@@garysprojects nice bit of luck there to have a spare cap! Thanks man, I know what to do on the next rainy day 😊
The slow-mo jumps at the end are the best dude 🙌 the bike looks sick
Hahha thank you Jon ! Got at least 1ft of air I think 😆😆 cheers mate stoked on the bike & fork , can’t wait to ride it more !! 🙏
I knew you'd figure out the fork
Thx man , I was pretty nervous for some hrs but stoked when I worked it out 🙌
Outstanding job on the forks Gary, they look sick on your bike too
Cheers my dude ! Ya super stoked with how they turned out , thank you 🙏

Nice fork rebuild!!! Love those old marzocchi forks... That red and the one with removable arch. 😎👍👍👍 I still regret that i sold my old Marzocchi Z3 Bomber... Nice vid! 👍🚴
Thank you mate!! Ya I love old marzocchis, great forks and easy to service. Hopefully you can find another cheers !
@@garysprojects hopefully, but here in our place its very rare... Most forks here are cheap chinese forks... 😅 Still have my old Marzocchi Drop off dual crown... Still in good shape...

I use a custom titanium bar that is 22.2mm through out. It’s 75mm rise with 25 degree backsweep and 7 degree upsweep and they are 800 mm wide. I use these on a 90’s trek steel mountain bike for commute and atb duties. They are the most comfy bars I have tried. 2mm 3v ti.
sounds good , what stem do you use for that ?
@@garysprojects se racing bmx quill stem. One of my first bmx racing bikes was a SE racing ripper. I raced bmx from 1978- 1983; so it’s mainly for the nostalgia factor. I also have a Thomson stem for threadless 22.2
